A Tea Bag, and meet "Lady Moon"!

Meet Lady Moon everyone! She is my new friend and business partner. I can't say Imagination girl is extremely pleased with all the new projects Lady Moon and I are whipping up. Our bedroom is more of a studio now, which is causing a little sisterly conflict, but we're working through it. I think that if I make Imagination Girl something special it will help. Lady Moon had to be cleaned and fixed up a bit before she could be used. Daddy took her to a sewing-machine-fixing sort of place and he said they were so enchanted with her they were all arguing over who got the honor of fixing her up.

One of the first projects we have taken on was the long awaited Tea Bag for momma. The trouble with this project is that you have to have a lot of people who drink a lot of tea in order to have enough tea bags. It is sort of funny when guests come over and after they get their tea they notice their tea bags going into a drawer with a whole lot of other tea bags. This tea bag was a little fussy, at least figuring out how I wanted to sew it, I was glad it turned out really well in the end. I absolutely love how the button looks with the white and red.
So now I am starting! After a lot of consideration I have decided on my soon-to-be business name, "Vin Bobo." "Vin" is short for "Vintage," and "Bobo" is French for "Bourgeois-bohemian," so basically it means, vintage, luxury, gypsy.

Creations 23, by Tinydancer

Hello! Meet Miss Prima, she is a lovely dress worn once upon a time ago by a friend of mine for her senior prom. I met Miss Prima when I was cleaning out some shelves, she was missing chunks of fabric in the back and front. I asked my friend about her and she told me how Miss Prima was her prom dress and her husband had cut out the pieces of fabric for a doll dress. I then asked where I should put Miss Prima, and my friend said in the scrap fabric. I couldn't stand to think of her getting chopped up, and so I asked if I could take her home and "redo" her. So here Miss Prima is, the first of Creations 23, and she is modeled by my beautiful sissy, Annie Oakley. Miss Prima will go back home soon,to be enjoyed once again by her family.

A Botton Lampshade and My New Year "Ideas"

This Beautiful Button Lampshade was inspired by a photo on pintrest, I saw the picture and my sorrowfully plain lampshade, and ran, grabbed my button jar and the glue gun. I was so excited about my wonderful new project it rubbed off on Imagination Girl and Jewel, they wanted to join me in gluing buttons. And I think that if we had more plain lampshades they would be covered in buttons as well.

I always end up making resolutions and then even if I had already started them, as soon as they became resolutions I failed to resolve them. My theory is this, as soon as you have to do them (resolve to do them) Procrastination immediately starts its war against getting thing done in a reasonable amount of time or at all. So this year I am not making resolutions at all, instead I am listing some "ideas" for the New Year. If I write them as suggestively and attractively as possible, it might become absolutely irresistible to get them all done.

One, Make Money. This may include filling out applications, interviews, getting a job, working, cashing paychecks $$, tithing, saving money, spending money (for some weird reason this "idea" seems necessary for the upcoming year).

Two, Make My Body Stronger(Keep it Beautiful). This "idea" has the possibility of doing physical workouts such as, yoga, Pilate's, and then some more disagreeable types of workouts, which if mentioned, will wreck any sort attractiveness of this "idea."

Three, Develop Skills Needed For My Future Career In Costume Design. This could involve taking sewing classes, practice projects, and other sewing/clothes/costume related things. (This "idea" I should have put on top, I certainly like it the best).

Four, Become A Payed Artist. This might include buying vintage clothes (cheaply, at Bostwick Auctions) to up cycle and sell on Etsy along with original clothes made by me! Which means lots of materials and sewing, designing enjoyment. (This "idea" is sounding quite attractive).

A New Year should begin with inspiration,an inspiration to live life to the fullest, filled with love for the one that loves me, filled with joy for the things He has done and continues to do in me, full of the peace that I am His Beloved.

Lovely Boot

On Christmas a lovely little sister of mine gave me purple leg warmers. They were neatly packaged on a piece of boot shaped cardboard. As I was tossing all the wrapping paper and packaging away, I couldn't toss the boot. Sometimes being an artistic person comes with a cost, the inability to throw away garbage, but then again, what is the definition of garbage? So the boot shaped cardboard was transformed into a beautiful boot (now I want a real pair). During the transformation the realization hit me, so this is why artist have studios, so their bedroom isn't covered in tissue paper, paper, glue and paint!
